These are the kits that get people with RWC engines into trouble every season. Not all but some!
The user sees antifreeze exit the exhaust and they think that it's gone into the engine block full strength [without being diluted by residual water]. What they are not thinking of is the position of the thermostat opening during this and they are not understanding the complete function of the raw water T-stat housing porting.

Nothing wrong with this if you drain afterwards.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm obviously new to the forum or I would have read through the many posts on this subject. It's fair to say the AF via sea water intakes is the sucky solution and not recommended (although granted it works for some). The process of draining and refilling with AF is recommended by many and the factory. And just to be clear, the original idea of this post was not about being lazy but being thorough. I have no problem with the proper process and I suspect it will become automatic in years to come. Someday, I'll get a heated barn....

Ayuh,.... That,... Is the absolute Worst possible way to winterize.....

If the power to the barn goes out, then yer buyin' a new motor....

So long as ya Drain 1st, then it's up to you, whether to antifreeze or not....

Personally, I go with Air, just Don't Freeze....

Good point on the no longer warm barn (although I still want one :D). Everyone in this thread is very clear that the best way to winterize is follow the tried, proven and factory recommended way: sea water drained out, air and/or AF in. Thanks.

Been of the forum for a while but the ? are still the same and we still give the same answers which are free and one of the best parts of the forum!
I 2nd or is 3rd on the air don't freeze! Or you can fill the block completely w/ A/F until it pours out every drain plug all the way up to the t-stat after its housing is removed and the does include the circulating pump on the block! but now I'm Ziggy just tooooo cheap to even buy A/F air is free just not he compressed air I use to blow excess water out of the hoses, circulating pump and block.
