I just got a 2005 trophy 2002 wa, which i have found have a common issue with the in deck fishboxes filling with water. Not sure how to handle this for the New Jersey winter.
Also, even if pumped out, there is still a little water in the box and the drain and pump, there is nothing in the documentation;? Any tips?:confused:

Re: winterizing fishboxes

1. I open the two pumps by lifting the small handle on top of the pumps and tvist the pump apart from the pump house. Thus emptying the pump for water.

2. I went to the Chemist and bought a large hypodermic (If thats the correct english word) without the needle. I fill this up with antifreeze, removes the filters in the fishboxes and inject antifreeze in the fishbox outlet/hose.

Simple and works for me here in Norway.

An alternative solution is to add 50/50 of water and antifreeze directly into the fishboxes and then start the pumps for a short periode.
Pumps and hoses are winterized when antifreeze mixture comes out from the pump outlet in the hull.

Good luck!

thanks for the reply, I'll probably use the dump and pump method.

I used the instruction from this Trophy owner and so far I have not get rain water into the fish boxes, although I have not done the spraying water onto the cockpit test. I'm not sure if the additional height as the result of the seals prevent the water from coming in or the fish boxes are really water tight now. But I'm happy with the result.

I add a 1/2 to 1 gal of the walmart boat/rv anti freeze to each fish well, and add 1 gal to the bilge and use the bilge pump. I have done it this way the past 3 winters, so far never had a problem.
