Its getting cold at night up here and I finally got off my ***** to winterize and found a bad starter so I cannot run the engine. I poured some stabilizer in the gas tank, drained the block, manifold, drive, dumped glycol into everything and drained again.

I cannot fog the engine because I cannot turn it over. I also have no time to pull the OD so I will get to that in the spring.

What else can I do to prevent any damage?

Pull plugs, spray fogging oil in holes, and turn it over by hand.

Make sure that you successfully got anti freeze in all the hoses, don't forget water inlet at the thermostat( getting all water out of the outdrive). You can also just use WD40 in the spark plug holes.

If you're not going to pull the drive, at least drain the oil and refill. You don't want any water that might be in there freezing over the winter and cracking things and you don't want any acids which might be in there eating up your bearings or gears. Lubricate all controls and cables. WD40 the engine. Disconnect your battery and charge it. Hope this helps. Hy

Why not replace the starter and do it right? You can either do it now or try to do it half-*** and have to replace it next season anyway. No matter what you have to replace the starter and replacing it now makes winterizing done right.

put a light in the engine compartment to keep it warmer all winter long.

Last winter when I winterized my 1993 Cobra 3.0, I shot some Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders and turned it over a little. It ran better this past summer than the last 2 years.
This is an old product but I believe that it may free up the rings and softens deposites. Works for me.
