Actually two questions.

In the FAQs on winterizing I noticed that they recommend pouring/spraying fogging oil into the cylinders.

First question:
As late as of 13 years ago we used to warm up the motor, bring it to X rpms and spray fogging oil into the carb unitl it died.
Lots of white smoke.

This was also about the time that boats were first comming out with computer controlled engines.

Pouring into cylinders. Is this because of computer startup memory.

Or is spraying into carb just old school and out dated?

Second question:
One of the places I worked at 16-18 years ago used to have a check list for winterizing.
As the mechanic did each thing they would check it off the list.
IE:
Drained lower unit oil. CHECK
Pressure and Vacuum checked lower unit. CHECK
Refilled lower unit with oil. CHECK
etc etc.
We kept one copy and one was given to the customer when they picked the boat up.
A third copy was put into a zip lock bag attached to the steering wheel along with the drain plug and keys to the boat.

Anyone know where I might find such a list?
Thought I might find one in the FAQ list.

Thanks

PS
I went back there in 2004 to get a copy of the list.
The parts and service managers both thought it was a good idea but in the 10 years they had been there they had never seen one!

LOL @ stevieray
Thanks
Just copied it into a word doc to print it out for the gal.
My guess is that she will pay to have it done rather than hand the list over to her friend. d:)
