Winterizing question

Last year when I winterized, I pulled all the plugs (6) blew the fogger in each cylinder then replaced them all...Not a big deal, but is there a quicker way? Can I just spray a good amount in each carb (3) while turning it over? Would this be adequate?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Winterizing question

It would have to be running to reach the cylinders and is the preferred method.

Re: Winterizing question

I'm glad I asked. The directions on the can say "Remove spark plugs, spray into cylinders, then turn engine over one or two time using starter rope" (Try that one on a 150hp 6 cylinder engine!!!)...FYI, I didn't even try, I turned it over with the ignition.
I'll just give the carbs a good dose while the engine is running and call it good...especially since the previous two years...before anyone told me about fogging the cylinders before storage, I didn't do it at all with no ill effects...not the best idea, but I know better now!
Thanks for the info.

Either way works, but better coverage when its idling.

Re: Winterizing question

Any 2 stroke engine that is not fogged thru the carb when running has no protection on the bearing surfaces and is only 1/2 protected
