Re: winterizing?????

You don't have to "Winterize" that includes a lot of things. To prevent freeze damage, all you have to do is drain the raw water system of your engine (and drive) so nothing can freeze and break.

Go up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of this forum and look around. Especially the first one. You would get a lot more info if we knew what you had.

Ayuh,... Ya gotta give Us a few Hints as to just What motor We're talkin' about......

V-motors will have 4 or more Drain Plugs,....

I hate to say it, but if you haven't drained the block since the fall, you are more than likely going to have problems. I live in Atlanta and it's gotten cold enough this winter to do damage several times. Heck, just in the last two days it's been 24 and 19 at night; that would do damage.

Nope.. :p It just means I don't have a 'lay-up period'. I can boat in all 4 seasons..... :D:D I can scuba dive in the warm (oh yeah, that's when you guys are 'winterized' :D) and fish in the cooler weather. We call it winter, but the temperature never drops to those funny numbers with a minus sign in front...:eek:

Don't worry guys, your summer is just a few (long) months away......

I'm planning a dive this weekend. The temps going to be around 95... Anyone interested?

Sign me up! :D If you can help with the plane ticket there.... ;)

Actually I have spent some time in your beautiful country - up in Mackay in Queensland and on North from there around Townsville. Very nice!

Bondo - warmth never goes out of style!
