Hello, Just got a new Hewescraft 200 pro v with a 2011 F150 Yamaha and there seems to be a lot of differrent ways to winterize, the manual says i can do it but is a little vague.. It says to drain the fuel but everything else i read leads me to beleive i should put fuel stabilizer in and run the engine for a while then to fog, what is the best way to fog this engine... also i have just 3 hrs on the engine should i be changing the engine oil and the leg oil.. Thanx

Re: winterizing

Yamaha now makes a "fogging oil and stabilizer" additive that you use as a winter mix fuel to run your engine on. It should be mixed in a seperate container not dumped into your fuel tank. We use this mix on our four strokes and don't drain if all the fuel filters do not show any signs of water. If the fuel system has any water it is probably best to drain as much as you can . You can wait for your ten hour check up if you like. Do open the bottom screw on your lower unit to make sure no water comes out , only gear oil. You should check your fuel filters and change if necessary. Do stabilize the fuel in your tank.

Re: winterizing

if you only have 10 hours on it, it barely broken in. I just replaced power head and lower unit on my 150. I'm going to drain my lower unit and add stabilizer to my fuel. I do also fog my my motor before storage
