Just drain any water that is in the block via two block drains (one starboard side front of block, one port side rear). Air doesn't freeze, so there's no need for antifreeze. Drain the exhaust manifolds as well.

Make sure the engine is setting level and you use a wire to make sure the holes are cleaned out. On the Fords, one side has the block drain plug will forward, the other side aft. Pull the large hose of the engines circulation pump and drain to, along with the manifolds mentioned above.

If you do have the overpowering desire to waste your time and antifreeze, once you drain the block, remove the thermostat housing and stat and fill antifreeze through the intakes water passage.
