Okay fellas I am working on my 1979 slickcraft with a mercruiser 260. When I bought the boat it had no engine in it. All that it had was the external marine parts. I have gotten most everything mounted with the help of you. My next question is I can't find what the location is for the wire harness bracket. I can make a new bracket that would work but if I can find the correct location it would be great. The motor is out of a 1979 Chevy truck. Thanks

Ayuh,.... Go up to the Adults Only section at the top of this forum,...

Go into the Mercruiser Info thread, 'n follow the prompts to download the shop manual for that vintage 260...

You'll find some pictures of the motors, that'll give ya ideas of about where things go,...

Otherwise,... mount it wherever the wirin' will comfortably reach....
