I have been working on this motor for a bit now, its a 1987 johnson 28 spl, now it seems like a wireing problem, I dont know much about electrical stuff and think I am just gonna break down and bring it in. any one now some good places to go to in the jax beach area or how much it would run me

Re: wireing problem on 28spl

OK, guys, David brought his boat and motor over. Blown fuse, But it had other problems, fuel 3 weeks old, new fuel line, excellent spark, we clean the carb twice, some new parts i had in the shed, but not a kit. determined it was not getting fuel, new fuel pump, now it wants to idle at my guess, no tach, around 2000 rpms, i need any recommendations, does any one have link n sinc procedures for this 1986 28 special Johnny. it has the throttle linkages that the cam ride on the timing plate.
