I bought a new dash off of Ebay it is a Warrior Brand off a speed boat I think, I had a custom console built to mount it to. My question is this.... It now has additional gauges that im wondering how and if I can hook them up. My motor is a 1984 70hp Johnson. The new gauges are a Tach, and a voltage gauge. how do you wire those up if they wernt there before?

Re: Wireing

I believe a wiring diagram of your motor would be in order.

Re: Wireing

The voltage guage is easy. Just run a switched hot wire and a light wire, usually blue, to it along with a ground. The tach will need a switched hot wire, a light wire, a ground, and signal wire from the motor. As MinUhp said, you'll need info on the motor for the tach wire. And there should be a screwdriver controlled switch on the tach to adjust for the number of cylinders and for two or four stroke.
