Make it. Much cheaper and not exactly rocket science.

Ditto. Positive feed from each appliance terminating to it's corresponding switch, grounds all going from each appliance to a ground bus fed by the batt, positive from the batt (circuit protected, of course) to a fuse panel, then leads from the fuse panel to the various switches. Piece of cake...;)

Re: Wiring harness for boat

I just ordered a cluster from Marine shop, can I do it myself or do I need to take it in to have done. Fixing things are easy, worked on my Peterbilt for 20 yrs, but boat is new to me. 2000 Voyager.

Electricity on a boat behaves in exactly the same manner as it does on a Peterbilt. It's just that the Pete probably had about six batteries in parallel whereas the boat has just one. Next question though -- what exactly does this have to do with the wire harness for a boat that is 21 years older? Not nice to hijack someones thread.

Caught...I just found this information place and trying to get info for my husband. I have no idea what I am talking about. I ordered a cluster from voyager today as all the gauges are out and the marine shop said that was what we needed. Did not know if he would have to bring it back next week and let them fix it (at 100.00/hr) so I am searching today for answers and this looked like it might be it. He drove a peterbilt so I gave this his name and it is me asking, if I sound dumb, sorry, I feel that way with the boat. I just want to sit and enjoy it with the grandkids and not worry about fixing the darn thing anymore.
thanks and whatever you said I did I didn't do any hijacking.

We bought a wiring harness at Kaylors Marine in richmond VA 859-986-0146. Cost 300.00 and will take 2 wks. to ship. Then need to decide whether to put it in or have it done.
