Anybody know where vinyl labels can be purchased to attach to wire harnesses? I am rewiring the boat and would like to label each end at the device and where it attaches to the terminal strip for easy ID. So far, Bass Pro World, West Marine, WallyWorld-DenOfThieves and various hardware stores have all cried ignorant of such items. I know I have seen them before and I suspect it was BassPro. They have them no longer. If I have to make them myself I will. Surely someone out there has done this before? What did you use?

Re: Wiring Labels

Go to an electrical distributor that sells Brady products. Will be cheaper than at a marine place, too!

Re: Wiring Labels

Speaking of cheaper than at a marine place....I priced 3 Orion flares to add to my current stock of arial flares. 8.99 for three at one store, the same pack at West Marine is $15.99. What a price spread!

Electrical distributor. Sounds good to me. Now if they are waterproof I am all set.

Thanks sangerwaker.

Re: Wiring Labels

Seems like anytime you add the word marine, the price goes WAAAY up. I try to buy all my boat stuff at non-marine places whenever possible. Pretty hard on motor parts and such, but real easy for other stuff.

Good luck!

I used one of those label making printers. You can make any label you want, its plastic coated so its water resistant, change font size and bold or regular, etc.

Mark.
