wiring speakers

i'm putting a radio on my boat..i plan on using only 2 speakers..can/should i wire the front and rear channels together. or just wire it to only the front or rear and adjust the radio.

If it were me I would just wire it off the rear speaker outputs.

There is no advantage to wiring the front and rear channels together. You have a stereo (that means two channels). Use the front pair or the rear pair of connections. It makes no difference. The fade and balance controls merely move the split between the two channels right to left (balance) or front to rear (fader). You could even use left front and right rear, or right front and left rear so both the balance and fader controls would work but the far setting in the opposite direction would simply lose the sound because there is nothing connected to the corresponding output.
