WIRING WOES 3.0 Volvo

I am looking for a wiring diagram for a 3.0 volvo penta. The alternator has five wires going to it and I don't know were they go. I also have some wires that go to the temp sending units that I am not sure about. 2000 volvo penta 3.0GS MWTR Model 3868939. The alternator is a marine J1171 Mando 3856600

Hey ABL,

I just recently had to figure out an alternator wiring issue with a 1998 Volvo Penta 3.0 drive. Following the diagram in the factory service manual I had an extra power (red) wire. After spending some time on it I finally decided to cut into the harness and track where the wire went to. As it turned out, the color of the wire turned to black in the harness bundle and it eventually went to a ground source and the mystery was solved.
