Wise Blast off bench seat installation examples

Hey guys, I ordered the wise blast bench seat to install in the rear seating area of my boat, I'm looking around to see if there are any examples or installs that people have done with this model.

It's sold here on iboats as well as many other places, so hoping this is a somewhat common item.

I just ordered this same seat as well, and am interested in your resonses. Im kind of just planning on making a plywood box to put it on with storage under neath. its going in the back of my 18' Starcraft SS

I don't think I recall this particular seat being installed here on the forum but... If I were doing it, I'd build a hinged box to put it on so when you fold down the backrest you could raise it up for storage. Could easily be upholstered to match the seat.

I've done some rough mock ups of what i'm planning to build.

I like the idea of an additional hinge, however i'm thinking of leaving the foot area open with trays that can slide in and out, for tackle boxes and other items.

I like the idea and design you have. Make sure to seal the wood very well. I'd recommend 2-3 coats of epoxy and then 2-3 coats of Rustoleum Pro Paint with hardener

Well, knocked it out, love the deck, hated those seats, returning them immediately.

A word of caution, the are not heavy duty, and they have tons of flex, not at all what i was expecting for a bench seat.
