I've posted a few times here in the last few weeks.

I finally got my hands on some seafoam additive and deep creep. Hard to get because of our remote location.

I am going to try and get my motor started and running tonight in the driveway and use the deep creep stuff. I've read that I will need to throttle up slightly to keep it running for a bit and then really give it a good shot and let it die out. I guess I will then let it sit. My question is, would 24hours be too long? If I do this tonight, I wouldn't have a chance to get back to it till after work tomorrow?

If I did it as soon as I get home at 5:30, how fast could I try and restart after I've decarbed? Would 2 hours be too sort? or enough?

I've let them sit as short as fifteen minutes with good results.

What if it won't start again after this. I have been having trouble with it big time. I can get it going, idling normally for like 10 to 15mins with muffs. Floods the yard with water. lol.

But I hit the kill switch once and I can't restart it. There is spark, kill switch removed from circuit. It coughs, sputters, fires up and then violently moves side to side sometimes.

So if I can't get it going again what's going to happen as all that sludge sits on the pistons and such?

They'll just be that much cleaner. When you do take it out the next day, and assuming it starts, run it like you stole it.

How old is this engine, and how long has it sat since running, what is the compression? This engine could well use a wrench instead of an aerosol can.

The engine is a 1984. Model E35RCRR. It has been used up until the point where I thought it was unsafe to do so. Boating on one of the biggest rivers in Canada is dangerous and I like my stuff running well when doing so.

Compression is 120psi even on both cylinders. The SeaFoam definetly blew out some carbon tonight. I haven't checked the compression as it was getting to late to be messing around. I gave it a good dose through the carp with "deep Creep" sprayed into the plugs holes and let it sit for about 2.5 hours. Sure was smoggy in the yard. But running much cleaner now.

However looks like I have new issues, which I will address in a new thread.
