Just have to vent, I backed out of my garage this morning to see an empty trailer sitting next to my house. Some loser came in the cover of darkness, cut 4 tiedown straps and carried off my 10.2 foot BassHound bass boat! Because of weather I had removed the depth finder, two trolling motors, and the battery and put them in the garage. But my little boat is GONE! My only hope is that some where down the line someone will try to register it. I have the title, and have reported it stolen. What kind of world do we live in......... Geeeesh!
What stinks is insurance deductable is more than the value of the boat! It was a 2003, grass green hull, tan inside. If you see someone in central Nebraska that just happened to obtain one this weekend, punch them in the face for me!

That sucks. Have you contacted your homeowners insurance? Being a 2003, they may opt for replacement value and you might be surprised at what the reimbursement is.

That sucks. Won't punch em, but will kick em for you, I will wear steel toe shoes for effect.

Might be worth while to search any nearby rivers or ponds.

Around here, they are taking just the trailer if the boat is other than metal, and if it is metal the whole rig gets stolen. Of course there is a large number of scrappers of illegal items is getting nabbed as well.

Good Luck in finding your boat..............SS

Thanks for the boat. If you wouldn't mind leaving the trolling motors and battery out where the boat was, I'll swing by and pick them up tonight also.

Keep your eye on Craigslist. Many thieves are indeed that dumb. Sorry about your boat. A friend of mine had a canoe walk off from his backyard also. Sucks.

Your boat should be easy to indentify, maybe if you have a color photo of the boat, have it enlarged and copies made and post them around at ramps, tackle shops, sheriff's office, etc., and folks will help you get it back, IF the scum-bags didn't leave the state with it! Probably some dumb-@#$ petty thieves!....Hope you get it back!

I posted a little thing on Craigslist lost and found. I am 60 miles from the nearest large lake with docks and marinas. I have a 69 starcraft ss in the garage, It was just a nice little boat for me and my son to hit local interstate lakes after work. It didnt take any setup time. Just hook it up and go.

The boat is made of ABS? plastic. Not much scrap value. I dont know why they left the trailer. Maybe they had their own? I could walk the boat and trailer all over the place by myself. BUT two adult men struggle to lift it and carry it due to the size and lack of good grab points. These theives were determined. There are only a few places they could use it within 60 miles of me, and I fish them ALL. If I see my boat on any lake, some ones in for a REALLY bad day!
