Wood burning stoves

Anyone know of any wood burning stove manufacturers that make wood burning stoves specifically for marine use? ( other than ****enson )<br /><br />Thanks

Its not for a boat, its for a RV. But the wood burners made for boats suit RV's well.

phatmanmike, again<br />You can use the fireplace to keep you warm on cold days and nights...also...if you have a steam engine you can heat the boiler to run it...and to heat water...and to cook on, etc, etc...just a Thought

I have to agree, it kinda freaks me out having a wood stove in RV. But to each their own.

I want a wood stove to keep me warm during those freezing Wisconsin winters. Its cheaper to get free wood than it is to purchase propane. Ironically, I would feel much safer with a wood burning stove than I would with a propane one.

I've seen wood burning stoves on several boats: why not? As long as the sparks are contained, theres no more danger than from any other heat source. And on a boat, you don't usually have to worry about setting the adjoining forest on fire as you might in the motor home.<br />Nordic Tugs included them as standard equipment for quite a while, and I see Devlin www.devlinboat.com installs them as well. You might check with him as to the specifics.<br />And Google brought up 53,600 suggestions in .18 seconds....

Had a wood burning stove in a 1966 Dodge school bus and when you started moving the wood would burn like newspaper. The vaccum created with the stack out the roof made that bad ol' puddy tat burn reeel hot!! <br /><br />It was kind of cool, but you needed a good supply of wood. Old gus the bus was a blast for the eastern wisconsin "Art Appreciation Tour" In addition to that, the non-factory optional toilet was set up to discourage tailgating. <br /><br />Ah Wisconsin, where beer and creativity merge together to create unlawful but practical products...

wood burning stoves have a dry heat-seems to be more comfortable than burning propane which produces moisture.
