wood floor help?

Hi all...... I have a really small soft spot on my floor up in the bow area. I will be replacing the nautolex vinyl floor cover with a NO Skid. Can i just fix the little spot or do I have to replace the entire floor? Like I said it is only soft in that one spot.....I have searched the entire boat. It is not all that soft either but it definitly could use some help...What kind of product can I use? Thanks for the help......

Sir C.. first thing to do is find out WHY it is soft, fix the cause, then replace only what you need to. you didn't say what brand of boat it is, many times a builder will not support the floor enough and it may be soft from the get go.. or it may have gotten some rot in it. in either case, fix the cause weather it is sealing a leak or adding support... :D :D

It is a 18ft cc mirrorcraft. I believe it was caused by a leaking live well that I have since fixed. Can i put a epoxy on it to help make it stronger? Either way I would like to seal it so water can no longer effect it. What is the best way to accomplish this? Thanks

I don't know the mirrorcraft but if the soft spot is rot the rot will continue to spread until you rip it out. Putting any kind of product over it will only disguise the problem. Follow flashback's suggestions.
