Well thanks everyone for all your help. I put my deposit down on my new Seaswirl 2007, 217 Deckboat c/w 5.0 merc MPI 260hp with the full bimini enclosure. I am happy with the price as I have found 06's for the same price I paid for the 07. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I am nonetheless a new boat owner.

Delivery and boat test to Lake simcoe for the first week of may (hopefully the ice is out or it may be a short test)

Re: WOOOOO HOOOOO done deal!

I only have a couple of bad pics form the warehouse but I will post them, I
I can't seem to see how to post them?
BTW your boat looks wicked... I just checked out your thread link..
I had to give up alot of the sporty look in order to be practical for my kids. I am not a big fan of the full Bimini but it came with the boat and my kids love it

Re: WOOOOO HOOOOO done deal!

If this worked, the boat looks better with the bimini down (or at least the front down) having some other option installed while it sits in storage

Thanks. Can't wait to ride it. Your boat is looking good too. Good choice of colors. ;) The kids will love the nice wide deck.

Re: WOOOOO HOOOOO done deal!

Woodee,

Congrats on the new Seaswirl deck boat. I have a 2006 170 I/O sport boat and love it. I am a little bummed out by the fact that Seaswirl has dropped its line of sport boats as I had already picked out my next Seaswirl model.

The fit and finish of these boats is great! I got mine at the Dayton boat show and had the time to look at other manufacturers before settling on mine. The Seaswirl compared equally to some really expensive models that will remain nameless so as not to create a stir in this forum.

Is this your first boat? Have a great time! Do you live in Hamilton, Ontario?

Yep Hamilton Ontario, You?
Really glad to hear about the fit and finish, I was looking for some reassurance on my purchase. It's not really my first boat although I did not get out too much in our other one. It is a 15' Holiday with a 50 hp Merc on the back. glorified tin tippy really, but my kids and small adults could ski and tube behind just enough for me to realize I wanted a bigger boat.

Re: WOOOOO HOOOOO done deal!

Nice ride! I just bought my very first boat actualt the weekend of Thanksgiving. So since the water test i have been just staring at it in my garage for 3 months.:(
We really wanted a deck boat but couldnt justify the expense since i also had to purchase a new SUV to tow it.So we settled with and older bowrider 1992 Baja 21 foot Islander.NOt exactly what we wanted but i thought i would buy something i liked and have fun in it this season and if we decide that maintaning a boat and all the expences that come along with owning a boat is worth it then we will try and upgrade.
But i am jelious thats for sure. Have a blast this season on your new ride!

Hum what's that all about. I went on their website and all they have are Striper fishing boats. Probably since they are owned by Genmar which makes lots of pleasure boats already if I'm not mistaken.

Congradulations Woodee !
She's a great looking boat, and the full top is cool too! Makes the boat into a floating camper too - good versitility for the family. Enjoy!

Apparently Genmar "striper " fishing series is doing well and expanding. Dropping the sport boats gives them the chance to focus more in this area. They also make the fourwinns, Glastron, and Larson. so the already have their fair share of the sport boat market.
