Very accurate indeed Turtle. It even zoomed down accurately to show the difference that just a mile just can make in the price. I just paid $2.219 for gas in Burleson, TX.
3 miles down the road in Crowley it is still $2.49 as both are supported by the map accuratley.

Thats good to know. If your regular dealers supplier won't drop the prices, you can search for the next cheapest and drive a couple of miles to them. :)

Here in Germany the dealer doesn't set the prices, they don't even change the prices on the signs anymore. This is all done remotely now, by the gas supplier.

All a dealer can do, is to call the supplier, and say hey!, help!, the dealers prices across the street just went up, or down, by a couple of cents, and hope his supplier will also change the price at the station. If the supplier gets enough calls, they will change the local price for all stations under a particular Brand.

This is all done remotely now. The gas station franchise owner has no control.

Yep, we are going to rebrand and improve our station in a few months, and just yesterday at some EPA training, our supplier mentioned the signs that can be set remotely.

The ice road truckers must not be brave enough to drive on the river.

400 air miles west from Anchorage way more by land. But when the river is frozen enough they will be trucking fuel to some villages that did not get a fuel barge this fall. It is fun to be driving a big truck on the river.

Bought gas this past tuesday for $1.98 in VA. Isn't it crazy we view $2.00 gas as a fantastic price?

Not at all, especially since it was just about 4 bucks recently. The prices have fallen quicker than they rose.

But I imagine people would still be unhappy even if it hit $1.

Down to $4.74 here, not much cheaper, but we also didn't see the same % of increase as in the States. I don't think it will be getting any cheaper for us, if it does the will just raise the gas tax again.
