And I need a suitable sealer for re-assembly. BRP specifies Type M or equivalent. I asked the local BRP dealer and was told they only have large "shop size" tubes that are not for resale. Searches here reveal that Marprox Sealer 1000, OMC Adhesive, Boat Armor Sealer 1000 or maybe 3M #847 would be suitable substitutes but I can't find any of those either.

Any more suggestions?

I've had good experiences with Permatex #3 Aviation sealant for that application, and you can find it everywhere. Give it a good amount of time to set up before assembling. Cut the spagetti 1/32 or so longer so it is force-butted into the propshaft seal carrier, and do not use RTV Silicone. (That's a specific warning against a suggestion in Seloc manuals)

You might consider using "Permatex Motoseal Grey" which is quickly becoming my favorite all-purpose sealant. I've had great luck with it for sealing older crankcases (not Gel-seal crankcases). I use this where fuel contacts because I've had trouble with "Aviation" and other old time sealants with gas with alcohol adjuncts.

I think Marpox 1000 sealer is disappearing. "Three Bond 1104" is another sealer I've heard of being used in it's place, and I guess it's identical to the Yamaha sealer "Yamabond". I've no experience with it though.

Whichever you use, be clumsy with it and get it all over the mating halves. You'll notice all the screws that hold the cap on are on the inside of the spagetti seal, and they'll need sealant to keep the water out. I think the spagetti is really there for eye candy. ;)
