Worst one you experienced boaters have seen? hit something coming through a shallow channel on the way out to lake Mi and had to limp home 5 miles....bad day!
In the 1960s about midnight I spotted a sos on the river near the main channel.
Pulled a 1940s Century runabout off a big shoal ruined prop,bent rudder,bent prop shaft and pulled the strut right out of the bottom.
Boat was so full of water his big hairy 3/4 ton pickup could barely pull it out of the water.
