Worth THe Money??

I have a chance to get a 69 Dorsett Farallon (24ft). THe boat is all original. Very nice condition. Everything seems to work fine. Hull is in great condition. Engine runs nice. Is $2500 to much or should I walk away? THanks

Could be a great deal. Have the hull surveyed, though. You need to make sure there's no waterlogged stuff in there and that the transom is sound.

I know...it costs a buck or two to have it surveyed. Never mind. It costs a lot more if there's a problem you only find out about later.

Welcome to iboats. it sounds good, but if you are unaware of what to look for spend the bucks, for a survey, it will give you peace of mind, or a negotiating tool to deal with the seller. look in the phone book under boats, surveyors. it will be money well spent.
