WOT 97 Vortec V-6?

Going to test drive a 97 Rinker Captiva 21' Cuddy Cabin and was just wondering what the wot range should be for this motor

Ayuh,....

I've seen the 2bbl. Carbed model at 4200/4600rpms,...
The 4bbl. carbed model,+ the EFIs spec'ed at 4400/ 4800rpms....
Depending on the vintage......

It's been brought to my attention that by 1997,...
All the 4.3ls are spec'ed to 4400/ 4800rpms, WOT...

I would expect that boat with a V6 to make about 33knots with a 2bbl and about 38 knots with a 4bbl.....

The WOT rpm for the newer (93 to 97) 4.3L engines is 4400 to 4800 rpm.
See Service Manual #18 pages 1B-7 and 8.

Once the balance shaft and roller lifters started, the rpm range went up.
