WOT RPM on my engine

Hi everyone,

I have a 140 Mercruiser with a spec sticker on it that lists WOT as 4200-4600. Everything I read lists the WOT as 4400-4800. Does the sticker supercede everything else, or should I be going by the newer/more common rating?

Don't know what you've been reading, but it's supposed to be 4200 to 4600 rpm just as the sticker says.

My 1980 3.0 L 181 CI is also 4200 to 4600.
