ok guys getting closer, just a quick recap. hit 4800- 5000 a couple times with a 17 pitch prop, 19 pitch will work perfect when i get one. so anyway. its a 18' 1984 crestline bow rider mercruiser 140. wot RPM stuck at 2200 rpm out of the blue going on two weeks. all filters changes timing is good new point to plugd, no anti syphone valve, no shutter to clogg exhaust area (bellows). 7 about 7 psi of fuel pressure with littl to no air coming from tank. new coil today but there was no lube in the old coil so that might be the problem, coil over heating or did and i think there was a low volage of spark going to plugs, what do you all think.

Re: Wot rpm

ok guys, its fixed, went from a WOT of 2200 to a WOT of 4900 with a 17 pitch prop, it will be right on when i locate a 19 pitch prop. the fix was one of 2 things, stuck counter weights in the distributor i found some corrosion in there and wires brushed all parts and put a small amount of whits grease on all pivot points;:Dand or a coil, which had no lube in it so it would get hot a malfunction ( low spark out put). its time to play finally.
