I've recently had a look at the trim (it's manual) on our two motors and, following the advice found here, the A-V plates are parallel with the water when we're planing. Because I've tilted the motors out we need more weight in the bow, that sound right?

I've also heard here that if you're lugging the motor, it's gonna nacker it. It's not just set-up that'd cause this but also loading surely? Be honest, is 25hp on a 13ft dory not enough? As an indication, she won't plane out 4 up no matter how much we run around, but she's great one or two up.
