When I have the throttle WO, should the butterfly in my carbs also be WO? I can physically open the carbs a bit more at WOT by manually pulling the carbs open. Overall she runs pretty good. I don't have a tach, will have one next week to check for proper RPM. My manual (Seloc) really doesn't cover cable adjustment very well, so I thought I'd see if anyone here knew the answer to that?

92 Yamaha pro 50 is the motor.

I've tried adjusting the throttle cable to allow for the carbs to open up even more, but I can't adjust it to the point that will allow for it to open those butterfly's completely. As I advance the throttle, it first advances the timing, then it kicks into open the carbs. The piece of plastic that the carb control sits on advances the carb to a point where it won't go forward any more, but there is a lip on the piece of plastic that would allow for the carb control (basically a roller that advances the carb butterfly's open
) to fall down about a half inch and maybe open the carbs all the way. But I can't get the control to do that with any adjustments to the throttle cable.

Maybe this is too confusing to describe in words alone...
