Would my 95 procraft 15ft w/90hp work out in boston harbor?

im new to this site 1st timer.i just a 95 bought a 15ft procast bass boat with a90 hp mercury. with all the hp restrictions around my area in nfreash water im wondering if i could use this in boston haba at times without swamping it. would this work out in say 1-3 ft swells.or should i stick to the charles and neponset rivers any input would help and probley save a life or 2 thanx basshunter62

If you do, keep an eye on it. I was there a few years ago with a load of tea, and some jokers threw it all into the water. What a mess.:D:D:D

luckily i drink coffee. i will keep an eye out for them jokers

Hi Bass Hunter,

Good on you for asking this question, far too many boaties just launch and be damned with potentially diastrous results.

I have no idea of the Boston Harbour environment in terms of wave type, a three foot high vertical wall breaking wave can be a real problem for bigger boats than yours, whereas a three foot high rolling ocean swell can easily be tackled by a sea kayak. So I would advise being very cautious until you get used to the boat. As you gain experience you gain the ability to gauge how well the boat handles varying conditions.

The best idea would be to talk to Boston Harbour boaties and use their local knowledge gained from their experiences to top up yours. Good luck.
