OK, I get it now - its an outboard powerhead mounted in an inboard configuration, with a jet drive propulsion system. When you post a request for assistance, its a good idea to be specific about what you have, because we can't know everything about every boat and/or motor.

That said, Ezeke is usually knows most OMC motors and applications, so I'm sure he'll give you all the info you need.

Re: Would this motor work in place of a 115?

Ive noticed =p lol. Yea, I have figured out a bit on em , I just cant tell from serial numbers if one would work. And I dont like driving a couple hours in my truck to look at most these boats or motors, finding it cheaper to find a boat with a good used motor then just a motor. O well I can always use an extra trailer. Any one ever hear/see these with an outdive set up on em?I know parts are getting scarce for these, Ive already bored and reseleved the impeller houseing myself to fix its clearance because the jet drive part is not availible. Just courious. So what do you guys think of that block. Would a weld and grinding it on a surface grinder flat work or screw it up more?

So after looking at the pictures of my motor any one think it can be fixed or should it just become a boat anchor next to my 2.5L out of my jeep. Err dock anchor...

The cost to repair the block will far exceed the replacement with a good used block and you would have to disassemble it anyway.

Those are loopers; you need a crossflow.

1985 and up 140HP recreational motors are loopers. The CO and CD are 1985 and 1986.

If you found 115s from 1985 or 1986 they would be crossflow engines.
