For the second time this season my aluminum prop has been damaged both are in the shop. I am thinking of purchasing a composite piranha prop. The price is fair and the rep said if was not what I expected i could return and apply the balance towards another purchase. I guess I am looking for any one with first hand experience using this prop.

thanks in advance

Boy I guess you should be more careful. No personal experience but there have
been a couple excellent performance reports here not sure of the prop size but replacement blades are something like $27.I think the flo torque is adjustable.I think they can break unexpectedly someone reported losing 4 baldes at once in hard accceration. The company made good.
As I understand it if you have trouble with soft contact stainless props are said to hold up better needing repair less often. Of course they cost more and more to repair.

I had one on my 17' Glastron with a 4.3 ltr motor. Boat ran great and never had a problem with the prop.

Might want to try doing a search on iboats for that Pirahna brand. I recall the overall tone of the comments was somewhat negative (can't recall why) - but look it up to double-check.

I've got a 17" pitch 4 blade Comprop, and it works great! ;) But, I have no idea how a piranna works?
