Im wondering what i need? I need like 360 inches of legnth. thats 30 yards. 18" width should be enongh right? Im not sure about all this. Im trying to see what i need as far as supplies. I was going to use just bondo matt for the stringers but i think i need something more substantial. Anyone got any ideas? I think this is the first post since christmas its 12 am Merry christmas.

I would think you would want to use 24oz woven roving on the stringers, and probably multiple coats of it at that.

And merry christmas to you too.

Roving will work just fine, you can use other products like Biax, it's a stitched (not woven) product, it will be a little stronger, is a little harder to find and will cost more. Don't lose sleep over the difference between the two though.

Oh yeah I think I saw that over at www.fiberglasssite.com but I assumed that woven roving would be stronger, but now that I'm thinking about it, I think you're right.

Merry Christmas all
According to the info I've gotten from one of my posts you don't want to just use the woven roven by itself. You want to alternate the roven with mat, starting with the mat for the strongest job, two layers each appears the be the best balance for hulls up to about 18'.
