Wrong Plugs?

First time out today, motor idles great but dies out at full throttle. Searched the site and will try the fuel bulb trick to check the fuel pump. Checked the spark plugs, motor plate recommends using L-77V. Past owner installed L-76V. Could this affect the performance?

It depends on what and where he installed them.<br /><br />Post the motor info. You are talking about a motor -- right?

60hp motor, Model NO. 60173 C, Serial NO. J04417. Found some UL-77V. Same plugs, just hotter I think? Bought some Seafoam to clean the carb. Where should I add it? New to boat motors so any specifics much appreciated>
