My buddy, Ron, told me today that last fall when he took his boat out with the brand new prop he had just purchased he ran into a little problem. As he was launching his boat, he slipped it into reverse to back off the trailer and the boat went forward. Wtf? He tried again, and again it went forward. So then he slipped into forward and it went backward. Turns out that they gave him the wrong prop It hadthe wrong twist or what ever you call it. It caused his boat to go in the opposite direction from where he was trying to go. He and I both learned a lesson from that one. :D Mark

Believe thats the first time for that one, Mark. :D although I have confused myself by reversing the polarity on the trolling motor.

Did you go ahead & fish that day, or just pack it in?

Dont feel bad, my brand new Merc motor would spin the starter motor when I first installed it myself(came in crate, delivered on my driveway).First class rewiring an old boat.Starter motor worked, but solanoid was not engaging.
Finally dawned on me that the neg and pos terminals were reversed. Fine now. Batavier

In Captain Ron's boat, you do not fish. If I go fishing, we take my boat.
