WTB: 40hp merc 2cyl in southern ontario??

I found an older 40hp merc 2 cylinder but its from the late 70s and he wants 1000obo so say 700. But this is the only one I've seen thats a short shaft 40hp 2 cylinder. Its really hard to find one of these motors and all I can find is older ones. Anyone know of a new 40hp merc 2 cylinder in southern ontario? thats not like really $$$$. let me know please<br /><br />thanks<br />mike

Problably a Merc 402 your talking about?....wouldn't trade my scrap metal for one..lol.Thats my opinion. Are you looking for a short shaft or long shaft.? Personaly I think the inline 4 clyinder Merc were the best Merc ever built.
