wtc this called? replace

ive been calling this a tape strip or protrctive strip, its beat up from previous owner and id like to replace it but i dont know what its official name is to find it, whsts its called and where to buy?

called dealer was no help, kept telling me its rub rail, looks like it gets beat up from anchor line is my guess.

The dealer is correct. It’s part of the white rigid vinyl rub rail system. The black is the flexible vinyl insert. Both can be purchased from TACO metals. They have an online catalog which lists the ones Glastron/ Larson commonly used. You’ll need to measure yours with the insert removed to make sure you get the right one.

Wow, prepare for your boat to double in value after you replace the rub rail and insert. That stuff must be made out of GOLD!

I don't think you guys follow me either, the 3rd pic where i write "tape?" in blue. that rub rail is 2" below what i want to replace, its on the round edge of the bow above the rub rail. i don't see this on taco website, they are selling rub rails, can you link if it's on there?

pic below from taco, it's not any of this "rub rail" assembly, its like a strip of white tape.

the blue in the pics is fiberglass, only one pic in first post shows actual rub rail.

Okay I see what you got going on. rub rail is way below the picture. Boot stripes or hull stripes. Get a single colored roll and put it on.

Oh I see chevymaher looks like pin stripe tape over a rubber strip, over the white rub rail. Interesting .

ah thank you, i could not find this stuff, boot stripe, what a great name for something.... im going to peel it off then buff that area and put it back on.
