ok moose, i'm getting desperate here. why don't we offer some good info and maybe the good ol boys will invite back into the clubhouse? here goes...<br /><br />Q. how do i check for spark on my 9.9 merc fishin motor?<br /><br />A. you'll need a 6 pack of beer and a friend. no manual required for this one. 1. drink all beer (don't share with friend...make sure he brings his own) 2. remove plug in question, leave wire attached. now have friend stick his tongue on the end of the plug while you give the old 9er a good yank on the pull start. if your buddy falls to the ground convulsing, you got spark! if all he sez is this thing tastes worse than a 7 day old 7-11 cheeseburger.... well you've got a real problem and you'd better ask one of the oldtimers on this forum.<br /><br />there moose, i bet that one gets back in the door.
