my engine has been stored for 18 months,so i took it to an engineer who tested the compression on all three cylinders readings were between 80-100 all roughly the same ,but this was before the engine was run after 18 months.would the readings be different after it had been run for a while.thanks

Not likely to see any real change. Some times the oil will be a little excessive when having been stored and raise it a little.

Re: yam 50 autolube compression test

thanks.... Just cant understand why the readings were all uniform @ 80 ,would have thought if there was a problem that one may have been down or possibly 2, reading other posts i am lead to believe readings should be in the 100-150 range ,does it make a difference having three cylinders as opposed to two,Will have to test them when its run a while to see if they alter ,the tests were done literally on the first pulls of the engine after 18 months. keep my fingers crossed, thankyou for responses

Unfortunately, compression guages and their readings vary widely. This is why manufactors don't give benchmarks of compression readings.
