Hello from France !
We have a problem w/ a Yam F50 4 strokes : The oil level is increasing every time we use the engine ! It seems like some fuel is mixing the oil, and then increasing the level . Could it comes from the engine in the UP position when the boat is grounded ? Our french dealers don't want to believe us , so if anybody heard about this, thank you so much for let us know ...

Is the oil changing color? If it is getting milky colored, you are getting water into the oil.

Is the oil getting a different odor? Fuel would definately give it a gas type smell.

there have been some cases of this happening most of the time it was due to an improper break in i have been to suzuki and yamaha seminars where this problem was addressed if your dealer does not know about this tell them they need to call their factory service rep and i am sure he can tell them what to do about it

Water in the oil does make it milky...another way to tell if its fuel getting in the oil is to pull the dip stick and hold a lighter to the end with the oil on it, if the oil flames and burns you have fuel in the oil.

doucet, I have seen the smaller yamaha's make oil....from fuel getting into the crankcase...If the engine is run at very cold temps it can happen...is your themostat working and warming up the engine?
