This is a 1983 motor; I have one with Serial No. L402289! Absolutely brilliant workhorses and so reliable. It is really a detuned 90 HP.

Just got more info on it, model number 692 - I know you say 1983 but would that make it a 1979 if it started with 692 -

Mine is also model 692; and was purchased new in 1983 in Zimbabwe, the original owners manual was printed in Japan in 1982.

Yours must be the same year judging by the serial number.

hello, i'm selling my yam 75aet, everyone wants to know what year it is, do you know if mines also a 1983, serial no. is 692 L 402596.
