its in need of a piston. take my advice. do all six. it looks like a freshwater motor.corroision should not be an issue. blocks are the cheap easy part. its time to strip it to the crank. with no oil I am more concerned with the crank and rods than cylinders.<br /> once you determine if there is any thing left to rebuild we can assist with finding parts.

I'll get to work as soon as the weather lets up, which looks like it may be a few days. Thanks.

I would agree with Rodbolt on the all 6. The crank bearings and rods are the expensive parts. Buy you a 12 point 8 mm Snap on socket to take the rod bolts out. 3/8 drive.

Re: Yam150 Submerged, then running, now problem

I made some progress today. I've got everything disconnected and the bottom apron off ready to pull the block. Problem is, the flywheel is on there. I loosened the nut flush with the top of the shaft, put on the puller and cranked it down. I stopped after it got tight and tapped on it with a hammer, still won't come. Eventually I cranked it down until the threads ripped off of my bolts and the puller came off. I had tapped on the puller, tapped on the flywheel, and done everything I know how to do. Any ideas? I'll get new bolts tomorrow.
