I recently purchased a used boat that came with a C150 Yamaha. The previous owner has cut and spliced so many of the wires in the motor it is amazing and will eventually be rewired to restore its cleaner look. The motor runs great and last week I changed the trim motor from one that was pretty much eaten completely by salt water. I am now trying to get my tachometer working on the boat. The tachometer has power but is either setup wrong or is not getting a signal from the motor. Please look at the pictures of the motor to confirm the tachometer wire is mounted in the correct location.
