Yamaha 200 HPDI's - Can one engine alarm throttle the other engine

Twin Yamaha 200 hpdi's. 2004.

I have been having a problem with alarm on one engine. Not sure if oil or heat but I have changed the remote oil filter, remote oil pump, water pump and thermostats.

Took the boat out to test it and it ran fine for the first half hour. Then I hit a wave and the alarm fired. But not only did the alarm fire but the other engine also throttled down and would not go above around 1900 rpms even though no alarm fired on that engine.

It is possible that the alarm on one engine is causing the other engine into safe mode?

It seems almost impossible that both engines have a problem at the exact same instance. Kind of like getting hit by 2 bolts of lightning at the same time.

I would find the alarm that going off is it oil or heat, and test the sensor first. with a multi meter set to probably ohms not sure.
The big wave pound had something,to do with this, the throttle down sounds like a safety thing, hey did the other motor throttle back too?
I doubt the alarm on one motor is causing the other engine into safe mode ,because did the alarm motor go into safe mode to.
Now what, I wouldn't take the boat out until you test the alarm sensors, both motors, is there a reset for throttle down safe mode, do a complete check of both motors.

I believe I have read that an alarm on one motor will cause both to cut back causing the operator to stop and find out what is happening. if wired properly
