This question is accually about a merc 225 but since there the same....is there anyway to get the hours from a 225 4stk emm/ecu? Merc has no diagnostic software for this engine and probbly won't now they are building there own.
yes. hook up the laptop and down load the run time. it will break it down by how many hours at which ranges. a very useful tool at the 10 hour check. it allows me to see that most motors are idled 9 out of the first ten hours so I can write down the motor was not properly broken in.<br /> <br /> good luck and keep posting
I am not promising the yamaha software will work with the merc, but I do know the merc version of that motor uses the same ECM as the yamaha. the hours are accesible.
