4000-4500 RPM is usually a good RPM to cruise at to get good fuel economy.
You could install a Navman Fuel 2100 (or 3100), or a Yamaha FM guage (separate guage or the new digital speedometer+FM guage in one).

I use Navman Fuel 3100 and it is also connected (via NMEA) to GPS so it can calculate Nautical mile per Liter or Gal fuel. Nice to have but not a must. You burn rather much fuel for the cost of a 3100 FM guage. The Navman 2100 is not that expensive but can not display fuel economy, only liter or gal per hour and some more things.
Needs calibration at first and after 100 hour, and fuel transducer need to be replaced after 5000 liter according to Navman. Probably a Floscan is better (but more expensive) in the long run.
