Re: yamaha 25 prop help

To do this right we really need your present prop size(usually on the barrel or under the prop nut) your rpm and speed.Without rpm and speed no way to know if your motor is setup right and making correct rpm, speed and performance. also no way to accurately select a prop.A tinytach is about $50 and easy to install ,they have a website.

why a stainless prop because a lot better prop and more speed.I'm going to a auto parts store Tommie and get a tiny tach.

Re: yamaha 25 prop help

is that a 2 cylinder or 3 cylinder 25? if a 2 cylinder, i would go with a 10p stiletto triad 1. if its a 3 cyl, i would go with 11p stiletto triad 1. i have a 3 cyl and used to have a 2 cyl so i'm familiar with both.

Re: yamaha 25 prop help

turbo hotshot and stiletto triad 1 are basically the same prop. as for powertech, they make a few different props for that motor. i have tested a SRA and REB3 and the stiletto turns faster than both. the reb3 was the slowest. the people that make stiletto also make yamaha props. they know how to get RPM's out of a small motor.
