Yamaha 250 no spark

I have a 1997 yamaha 250 we went out for a ride the other day ran okay
after three hour cruise got back to the slip shut it down with in 5min no start and no spark on any cylinders checked any help would be appreciated

man overboard kill switch will keep spark away

I believe that is working when remove it and turn key alarm sounds no crank
when reinstalled the engine cranks
