Yamaha 30hp vs 25hp 2 strokes

Hello I need some opinion to help me make a choice on which outboard to buy? 1998 30 HP Yamaha Tiller Handle Outboard.2 gas tanks and line.Electric start. Used approx. 50hr. Never seen salt water. $1700 and 8 hours drive or a brand new Yamaha 25hp with no electric start for $2200 and 3 hours drive!! what do you think is a good deal and is there a big deferent between the 2? thanks in advance

Hey Kandil, you should just chat to me directly man ... the 25hp yamaha is a 2-cyl, so take the 30hp if it is the 3 cyl, but i would not use the electric start as carrying a battery on your boat adds more weight and you don't want that ....

I would go with the 30 and try and talk them down to $1500.
A lawn mower battery will start that motor. The electric start is a big selling point to me.
